Cold days and high winds struck Faulk County this week. Still there are spots of warmth, with the local Methodist Church beginning their Lend a Hand project and wonderful music and culture to keep the cabin fever at bay, we seem out to prove that South Dakotans thrive on adversity.

This week Makenna Boss placed 4th runner up in the Snow Queen over the weekend. The school board voted in favor of the opt out and put it up for a public vote. There are two open seats on the school board and three on the city council as well as the mayor’s job up for election, so if you’ve got an interest it’s time to file you petitions.
