It’s been cool. Unbelievably cool for July. Record setting 38 degrees cool!
Aside from the strange temperatures we’ve got both 4-H achievement days and the Cresbard Corn Fest coming up. Check out the plans for a large bronze Cecil Harris on the front of the paper.
They call it the dog days of summer, but right now in the Faulk County area it’s more of the busy days of summer and the time of a lot of changes with new and interesting things happening. Cresbard Corn Fest is coming up and there is a big story on the front about an attempt to raise funds for a World War Two Memorial honoring Cecil Harris. Stories about the new blood at the city and school finance offices. Also some more stories about local construction and expansion.
Oh man, Wild West Days is over but things don’t seem to have slowed down much around here in Faulk County. This Record contains stories on the new Faulkton Retail Center being built, retirement stories for Norby Reuer and Cindy Kopecky of FHS, local SD National Guard members on a mercy mission and so much more.
This paper is just chalk full of all the events of Wild West Days! As our editor James Moritz said, “It’s busier here around the 4th than Christmas!”
